How much play is acceptable in the rudder bearing base on a 411 I have about 1/4 of an inch at the very base of the rudder but walking around the boatyards and having a feel of other rudders some have a lot more. What is an acceptable tolerance? And what affect does a sloppy bearing have on performance? I even tried a new Beneteau first and found play. Has anybody changed bearings? are they greased as all?
