On the Oceanis we are buying (see other posting) the log paddle wheel and echo sounder transducer are fitted in the floor of the foreward cabin, under the bed locker. I know the previous owner had problems with the paddle wheel (haven't we all!) and had resorted to using a trailing log. Question - is this the normal place to have these on an Oceanis, or should we place them further aft in the boat?
