Harbours Moorings Places to go and see

POOLE harbour is a great sailing area, Brownsea island is interesting and lots of other little islands to explore in your rib or tender If you have a shallow draft or lifting keel even better so great moorings for that idyllic nights quiet mooring a nice day up the Whareham channel to Whareham park your tender try the local Saturday market with local veg foods fresh fish and other brickabrack pubs and restaurants from fish and chppy to Indian snacks by the side of the market. If you are a Marina person, there are some expensive ones so get your Almanac out! Or as I do, if not on my mooring pick up a mooring bouy that is not in use or drop you anchor in a quiet spot or go through the lifting bridge and find an empty mooring and use the RNLI HQ by the water ther is a slipway under camera that can be used by the public and then if you are a RNLI member sign in and use the bar or restaurant Pt of local Rinwood beer £1.80 lunch from a £3.50 for fish and chips Excelent Dinner menu from about 12.00 per person and very friendly with a great view of Holes bay and your boat.
Harvey's resturant in Poole is yummy expect £65 for Dinner for 2 with wine approx, but great chef and family run.
