beneteau interior wood finish refurb

on my 351 the forward water tank has a bulkhead hiding it. when i bought her the flange screws on the top of the tank leaked when the tank was filled, any water that over flowed stayed between the tank and ply and the stain/finish started to lift and looked unsightly, anyway this liftout i stripped the whole of the finish off with nitro mors, then i used a wood stain ( in this case although bene call it cherry) burmese teak. then i rubbed it down well, then the finish, i didnt fancy brush varnish because of brush marks etc, i had sprayed the wing of an old jeep a few weeks previously and the final finish was transparent laquer, i used this, what a revelation, perfect finish and because it was on wood it dried the same as the original bene finish. highly recommended and 5 coats in a matter of hours rather than waiting days for it to dry properly!
