2004 411 Celebration for sale, maybe!

Hi, we achieved our dream of sailing GIZMO (411 Celebration) from N.Wales to new mooring in fantastic new Med marina at Sant Carles De La Rapita, Spain. Unfortunately, the dreaded redundancy reared it's head. Not all is lost as GIZMO paid for including 27yr berth lease, but instead of dreamy semi-retirement, now I can see a good 4/5 years of hard slog back at freelancing for me to get me back to where I was financially and GIZMO sadly is going to become quite lonely.

So just maybe someone might prize GIZMO off us for £105k. GIZMO must be just about the most comprehensively equipped 411 on the planet and needed to be for our sail round to the Med. Spec is something along the lines of:

2004 model 411 Celebration. (so larger rig - great light wind sailing, electric winch and windlass etc.). Lazy Jack. 3rd reef. 3 double cabin model. Blue Hull, Teak decks. Serviced in November. Bowthruster. Dometic Air Conditioning. EberSp Heating. Professionally re-wired. All Mastervolt equipment at great expense. Full Mastervolt Galvanic Isolator. Uprated alternator and charging circuitry. Solar Panel(s). Critical circuitry battery isolation.  Twin, independently operated and also networked Raymarine E80 chart plotter, radar, Autopilot.Navtex. Twin Digital VHF. AIS (don’t do Gib Straights without this!!). Raymarine integrated with plotter Digital Fishfinder. Sophisticated TV/Hi-Fi set-up all inter-connected, plotter/radar even comes up on TV! New Jabsco locking flush units in both heads. Max-Prop reversible propellor (kills the vicious 411 propwalk). Etc. etc. .. no way we would ever recoup the cost of this, but all make for a safer and better Med Life…. There is still nothing we prefer under £250k.

All sorts of options for value berth in stunning new British run marina in the Med, or what an adventure to sail Gizmo back again.... I am typing this from the Marina cafe-bar now, blue skies, 21 degrees C in the shade in March, looking over at Gizmo wondering if I need my head seeing to, think I have had too many cervecas. Don't have to sell, so little time to sail now, no way I want to pay brokers the large commission but someone might just twist my arm enough....
