Moving compass

Hi i have up graded my nav pack with two hds-10s (Lowrance) but have to move my compass which leaves about a 3" hole in my grp dashboard
any ideas on what wood i can use to cover ontop of dash that looks inkeeping with the rest of the wood trim.
My boat is a 3year old Antares 710
